Red Nose Day at Marlborough

Always up for a bit of fund raising and always keen to don their pyjamas, the Marlborough store took part in a ‘wear your pyjama’s to work’ day. Well done to all who not only raised important funds for comic relief but also had a bit of fun!

Easter Selection Winner!

Well done to Jordan Kennedy who won the selection of Easter treats last month! We asked for any quirky Easter traditions and whilst we had some fantastic entries, we just loved Jordan’s… ‘Growing up my parents always hid chocolate in trees and we had to go up to each one hit it with a stick and say chocolate tree oh chocolate tree bring chocolate to me and we would see if we were lucky to see any fall out for us so I have carried on the tradition :)’

Cannon Pools Easter Giving

Cannon Pool were more than happy to contribute to the local pre-school raffle. The store has a strong relationship with the school and will continue to support them as we have so far!

Employee of the Month; Eleanor Warren (Three Mile Cross)

Eleanor joined us in May 2023 and has proven to be an ever reliable and increasingly important member of staff at our Three Mile Cross store. She works in the bakery, ensuring that we are providing a top quality service through our food to go concessions.

Marlborough Good to Go!

We are very, very pleased with the Marlborough store upgrades which were completed mid-March. The store has been brought right up to date with new imagery and a new look. New chillers and coffee machines and a bigger Subway seating area, as well as it’s pretty awesome new ‘Calippo’ machine! We think you’ll just love it!

Flying high for Wiltshire Air Ambulance

We just can’t keep Marlborough out of the news this month, and were very proud to receive a certificate from Wiltshire Air Ambulance showing a massive cumulative donation of £4661.69 since we started raising for them. Well done all!

Marlborough having it’s upgrade

As you may have noticed Marlborough has been going through some changes! We are very pleased to be updating the store at the moment. This includes new refrigeration, new shelving, an improved food to Go area and additional seating for Subway. The works should take about 2 to 3 weeks all in all, bringing the store up to date and giving it a fresh new look! We just can’t wait!

Brize nearing completion!

Each day that passes we are getting closer to Brize being complete. Whilst the weather has definitely been against us, the build is finally coming together. All the building are now erected so all that remains is the final technical pieces of puzzle – the actual machinery – to be commissioned and then the tarmacking, then we are good to go. Obviously, we’ll keep you informed with an opening date – fingers crossed it’s soon!

Carterton Food Bank

Last month we were very proud to donate a huge amount of food to Carterton Food bank. Our Brize Store has been looking at it’s ranges and making various changes to the lines it holds, it meant that there was an excess of stock which we were more than happy to donate to this important charity.

Cannon Pool is complete!

The first of the store upgrades this year is complete! Cannon Pool’s update started at the beginning of February and included new shelving, new ranges and a fresh new look. We’re really pleased with the changes and we think you’ll love your new look store!

The Swan Re-Opens it’s doors!

As you may already know, Fraser’s Retail own the Pub opposite Three Mile Cross. The pub is full of history and it was important to get this wonderful community asset back open for the village and surrounding area. Charlotte, the new landlady, and her team have done a great job in retaining the old features, whilst giving it a good update. We look forward to popping in for a pint and a bite to eat soon!

Magnum of Prosecco Winner!

Huge congratulations to Emma Moyes who picked who won our magnum of Prosecco (pictured is her father Stuart, who picked it up for her!) She was one of the many who correctly told us the Veneto is the region Prosecco is from in Italy. Thanks to all who entered – it really was a popular competition this time around! Enjoy the fizz Emma – assuming you get it 😉

Employee of the Month: Ginette Cole (Cannon Pool)

It’s not often that a store gets two employee of the month’s two month’s running, but Cannon Pool has risen to the occasion! This month the store manager Ginette follows up Corinna with her own gong! Ginette in all honesty is deserving each and every month and often goes above and beyond for the store and for her team.

New Website goes live!

Fraser’s Budgens are very excited to be launching our new website this month! Whilst a lot of the content will remain the same we have brought it right up to date with a fresh new feel and easier navigation. This will be the start of various changes through the business in 2024 so watch this space through the year!

As highlighted last month we were very pleased to raise funds for our chosen charities in 2023. Part of the amount goes straight to Sobell House which we proudly handed over at the our Yarnton store this month. The total between Cannon Pool, Brize and Yarnton was a fantastic £2,353.57 which included the other fund raising during 2023.
