Launching Pipp & Co Doughnuts

Have you ever tried Pipp & Co Donuts? Well, if not, you are in for a treat! They really are quite special. Baked on the day in the bakery in Swindon, delivered to store that morning so they are as fresh as can be and are truly delicious. They are only delivered once a week and once they are gone they are gone.

We’re getting closer with the Brize works! The external building should be finished over the next week with the internal works starting afterwards. This will mean the Subway going into the old Car Wash Building, creating more space in the store and building a beer cave! Exciting times!

Employee of the Month: Tom Emmett (Yarnton)

Tom started with us as a part time Sandwich Artist at Subway in 2022.Two and a half years later he has become a versatile employee working in both Subway and the Bakery, helping out by picking up extra shifts that need cover. He’s a great team player and always willing to share his knowledge with new employees; we are grateful to have him on Team Yarnton. Thanks Tom!

Cocktails Winner!

Unsurprisingly this Months prize draw had a fair few entries! Who doesn’t want a selection of Cocktails?! There can only be one winner though so congratulations to Anton Bishop who’s great sounding ‘Bishops Boozy Breezer’ was the winner last month. Simple, yet effective. We like it. Well done Anton and bottoms up!

We’re super proud to share that Brize has been nominated for Best Valeting Facilities at this years Forecourt Trader Awards! Just to be nominated itself is quite the accolade so well done to the team. The Awards aren’t until October so fingers crossed for then. Bagging up for Charity

We’ve now crunched the numbers for the bag tax in the first six months of 2024 and are very pleased to share with you that a fantastic total of £1252.50 will be shared amongst our respective charities.

Final Phase at Brize Begins!

In the last week the final part of Brize’s Works has begun. This work will include transforming the old carwash building into a shell for the Subway to move into, this will give the store more room and help increase on the ranges stocked in store as well as improve the back of house areas. All go here at Fraser’s Budgens!

Three Mile Cross Bowls Night

We were very pleased to host a bowls night at Three Mile Cross for staff and their families. As you may know we are a supporter of the Bowls club so love to get involved when we can. Some competitive spirit and a lot of fun meant for a great evening. Thanks to all who made this wonderful evening happen!

Working with Witney Air Cadets

The Cannon Pool store were very pleased to help out with donations to the RAF Air Cadets, Witney Squadron for the tea tent at Witney Carnival last month. All funds raised go straight back to the Air Cadets and we were more than happy to help with this great event.

Employee of the Month: Julie Lewendon (Three Mile Cross)

Julie started with the company in April 2020 and has become a very helpful supervisor. She is always happy, she’s popular with staff and has covered a lot of shifts at short notice in the past month. Julie often goes above and beyond helping staff over the phone even when not working, as well as help to fill other shifts. Thank you Julie… much appreciated!

A Dash of Summer Winner!

Well done to Marion Flynn who was the lucky winner of our Dash of Summer prize. If you don’t know already Dash is made with wonky fruit, so Marion, and a host of others answered correctly! Obviously there is only one winner so enjoy your hamper and treats Marion. The picture is with her grandson Zack, who was particularly excited to be winning too!

Yarnton getting Sweet for the Local School Fete!

It’s that time of the year where school fetes are doing the rounds. As always the Yarnton store helped out at William Fletcher School fete last weekend, this time by donating a selection of sweets for lucky dip, seed planting, skittles and network prizes! Blimey, sounds like fun. Well done to the PTA for putting on such a wonderful event!

Cannon Pool shows its Sporting Side

We were very pleased to provide the water for the Witney Community Primary School sports day over the last week. The school is over the road from our Cannon Pool store so over the years we have worked alongside the school from sports days to fetes to tombola’s. The store is always pleased to help out this wonderful community school.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance at Three Mile Cross

Over the last month Three Mile Cross store has had the Thames Valley Air Ambulance team fundraising at the store. As you may well know they play a vital role in saving lives but they need our support to help pay for the service, and are reliant on donations to keep doing what they are doing. A huge thank you for all the work they do for us!
