Commemorating the start of the First World War

During the month of August Lindsay Simmons, our Produce and Bread manager at Marlborough rode her horse with a group of volunteers along the northern sector of the western front in France to commemorate the start of the First World War.

The team were dressed in traditional Army kit and replicated the journeys taken by the soldiers who fought in the great war. A lot of money was raised which will go to the royal British legion and the Blue Cross.
Congratulations to Lindsey on a memorable experience and a great effort, something you should be very proud of.
